180 Degrees Consulting, Improving the Effectiveness of Non Profit and Social Enterprises Around the World

ALINA ALBOT (FORMER HR DIRECTOR, NEWLY ELECTED PRESIDENT)

Why did you choose 180 Degrees Consulting? What were your objectives at the beginning of your adventure?

“I happened to hear the TED talk of Nat Ware, who is the founder of 180 Degrees Consulting, just a couple of days before I saw the posters advertising the new recruitment session. The purpose of the association really spoke to me so I applied immediately. I was super excited to be accepted and my expectations have been proved right. There are a number of ways to do good for the world and through 180 Degrees Consulting I have learned that our skills are a very powerful resource. I would like to see this as the start of the journey for me and I hope that as I graduate and go into employment, I will be able to continue being involved in the world of social entrepreneurship and non-profits, even if that will be with less time on hand but hopefully with more knowledge and skills”.

What is the task of HR Director?

“The main tasks of the HR Director within 180 Degrees Consulting Bocconi are the organization of the recruitment and training sessions. We have two recruitments every year at the beginning of each semester. Because we want to make sure that we recruit the most skilled and dedicated students the recruitment procedure consists of three steps: initial online application, an assessment center and a personal interview. After the recruitment session is finally over, the HR Director is responsible that the new members get the necessary training to start working. At the end of each semester/consulting cycle, the HR team will collect general and individual feedback that we see as crucial in helping our association and consultants to grow”.
